Guide to Inputting Scores in the DC.USSSA Scheduling System

Introduction: This tutorial from USSSA University focuses on inputting game scores into the DC.USSSA event scheduling system. This process is essential for updating the outcomes of games post-event, ensuring accurate records and standings.

Accessing the Scheduling System:

  • Log in to your DC account and navigate to the specific event you're managing.

  • Access the scheduling module of your chosen event to begin inputting scores.

Inputting Pool Play Scores:

  • Select the 'Scores' tab within your pool flight.

  • Enter the scores for each team, ensuring accuracy. The team on the left corresponds to the first score box, and the team on the right to the second.

  • Update the game status to reflect the outcome (e.g., with score, winner only, loser only, tie, etc.).

Important Notes:

  • Do not modify team names within the score input area. Use the 'Game Manager' tab for any adjustments to the game setup.

  • Game designations (e.g., Game 1, Game 2) correspond to specific matches in the schedule, not the chronological order of games played.

  • The 'Game Manager' tab also provides tools for adjusting game times and locations, as needed.

Bracket Play Scores:

  • Follow a similar process for bracket play, inputting scores and updating game statuses.

  • Some bracket formats may automatically advance teams based on input scores, while others may require manual advancement.

Adjusting Scores:

  • Scores can be updated or corrected by simply changing the score values and saving the changes.

  • Be aware that adjusting scores after setting pool-to-bracket placements may require manual updates to the bracket placements.

Utilizing Game Status Options:

  • Various game status options allow for detailed record-keeping, including designations for forfeits, coin toss outcomes, and games that count for only one team in standings.

Conclusion: Inputting scores accurately in the DC.USSSA scheduling system is crucial for maintaining the integrity of event standings and outcomes.
