Managing Venues on Your Event After Creation: A Step-by-Step Guide

There are several layers at which venue management can occur: the event level, division level, and during scheduling. This guide will navigate through each to illustrate how to add, assign, and manage venues effectively.

Accessing Venue Management:

  1. Event Level Venue Management:

    • Navigate to your test event on the DC.USSSA platform.

    • Enter the "Edit Event" screen and select the "Locations" tab.

    • Search for and add any facility you wish to include in your event.

    • To remove a facility that's already been assigned to a division, navigate down to the division level as facilities can’t be removed here if they’re assigned to specific divisions.

Division Level Venue Assignment:

  1. Assigning Venues to Divisions:

    • Go into the division level of your event and click on the divisions to manage.

    • Use the "Multi Division Edit" option to see the unassigned locations.

    • Assign the desired facilities to their respective divisions. If necessary, add additional locations to the event to then assign them to divisions.

Scheduling System Venue Management:

  1. Using the Scheduling System for Venue Assignments:

    • Access the scheduling feature from the event dashboard.

    • Before adding flights to divisions, go to the "Parks" tab within the scheduling interface.

    • Manage the parks for the event by adding multiple facilities at once or removing unwanted ones.

    • This approach allows for bulk actions and is often the preferred method for managing venues due to its ease of use and clean interface.
